又一学年即将落下帷幕，校内校外，学子们都留下了精彩的瞬间。去年底，冬日里的世界杯再度点燃了人们对足球的热情，开春不久，由福州市教育局举办的2023年全国青少年校园足球春季联赛（福州赛区）按时举行，福州西湖国际学校的足球小将们终于迎来了证明自己、与外界切磋的机会！

Another school year is coming to an end, and students have left behind wonderful moments both in and out of school. At the end of last year, the winter World Cup rekindled everyone’s passion for soccer. Shortly after spring, the 2023 Fuzhou Junior Football League Championship, organized by the Fuzhou Education Bureau, was held on time, and the young soccer players from Fuzhou Lakeside International School finally had the opportunity to prove themselves and compete with the other schools!

FLIS校足球队于此次联赛中申报了小学男子甲组、初中男子组两个竞赛级别，表现亮眼。2017年，青涩的FLIS校足球队第一次踏上青少年足球联赛的赛场，六年来，球队曾荣获区级足球联赛小组对抗赛第一名及福州市冠军杯第八名。在此期间，球队也数次经历更新换代，培养了多位优质球员，第一任队长Louis于2021年被澳大利亚U15室内足球国家队录取。

The FLIS soccer team has declared two competition levels in this league, Primary Boys(First Division) and Secondary Boys, and has performed brilliantly. 2017 saw the youthful FLIS soccer team step onto the field of the League for the first time. In the past six years, the team has won first place in the District Football League Group Match and eighth place in the Fuzhou Champions Cup. During this time, the team has been renewed several times and has produced several quality players, with the first captain, Louis, being accepted into the Australian U15 Indoor Football National Team in 2021.

不少足球小将是第一次踏上赛场，此次联赛记录了他们第一次助攻、第一粒进球；初中组则多由经过数次大赛历练的“老队员”组成，大家在赛场上都拿出了最好的表现，奋力拼搏。此外，校足球队的参赛过程也并非一帆风顺：初中组因队员受伤而面临开赛人数不足的困境，但大家依然在对抗人数不对等的情况下坚持参加了小组赛。最终，小学组在甲组比赛中取得四局三胜，小组第二的好成绩，恭喜大家！

Many of the young soccer players were playing for the first time, and the league recorded their first assists and goals; the secondary team was composed of "veterans" who had experienced several competitions, and they all gave their best performance on the field and fought hard. In addition, the process of the school soccer team's participation was not always smooth: the secondary team faced the dilemma of not having enough players to start the match due to injuries, but they still insisted on participating in the group stage despite the unequal number of players. In the end, the primary team won three out of four games and came second in the First Division. Congratulations to everyone！

五月底，骄阳似火之际，FLIS校足球队参加了厦门青少年足球邀请赛（U10与U12组别）。联赛为期两天，全国各地13个俱乐部/学校的青少年球员荟萃一堂，分成四个年龄组进行比赛与交流。激战过后，FLIS名列U12组别盘赛第四名以及U10组别盘赛第三名。

At the end of May, when the sun was blazing, the FLIS soccer team participated in the Xiamen Youth Football Invitational (U10 and U12 levels). The tournament was a two-day event that brought together youth players from 13 clubs/schools from all over China, divided into four age groups for competition and exchange. After a fierce battle, FLIS placed fourth in the U12 level and third in the U10 level.

The FLIS soccer team always takes "happy soccer" as its purpose, hoping to provide children who love soccer with the opportunity to pursue their dreams.
