The Primary program here at Fuzhou Lakeside International School covers grades 1 through 5.  We teach an American international school program which focuses on the American Common Core Standards of education.  Students are taught in an immersive English environment for all subjects, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.  Students are also taught P.E., or physical education, Art, and Music in English.  Dance class is also one of our students’ favorites.  Students who have a low level of English ability are provided a number of supports to assist them in becoming fluent.  Each classroom has a homeroom teacher, who is a highly qualified and licensed native English speaking teacher, and a bilingual teacher, to provide students with a low level of English more personal assistance in the classroom.  A full time ELL instructor is also available to teach classes to students that are new to our school. The Primary program here at Fuzhou Lakeside International School is designed to provide students with all of the skills they will need to be successful in their future educational endeavors.
