Hello everyone! I’m Natalie, and I’m very excited to be joining the school and getting to know all of the children and families this year.

I began my teaching career in the United Kingdom, where I spent seven years working at a special educational needs school with children and young people aged 3–19 years. This was a very rewarding experience and taught me the importance of understanding every child as an individual, celebrating their strengths, and creating a warm and supportive environment where everyone can feel successful.

For the rest of my teaching career, I have been living and working in China, including Beijing and Xiamen. I have worked mainly in international and bilingual Early Years settings and have experience with EYFS, Montessori, and the IB PYP.

I hold a PGCE in Education from Leeds Beckett University, an IB PYP Category 1 qualification, an Advanced 180-Hour TEFL certificate, and Montessori diplomas. I also have a Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning, a CACHE Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, and Trinity GESE workshop training.

I believe children learn best when they are happy, interested, and actively involved in their learning. I love creating a classroom that feels welcoming, fun, and safe, where children feel confident to have a go—even when they might make a mistake.

I enjoy using stories, songs, games, movement, drama, crafts, and hands-on activities to make learning exciting and meaningful. I also love encouraging children to talk, ask questions, work together, solve problems, and become more independent.

Most importantly, I want every child to feel that their voice matters and that they are an important part of our classroom family.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy travelling, exploring new places, reading, being creative, and spending time with animals. After living and working in different parts of China, I have really enjoyed experiencing different cultures, meeting new people, and discovering new places.

I’m really looking forward to getting to know each child, watching them grow and learn, and sharing lots of fun and memorable moments together this year.

我持有利兹贝克特大学（Leeds Beckett University）教育学PGCE证书、IB PYP 一级认证、高级180小时TEFL证书，以及蒙台梭利教师资格证。此外，我还拥有支持教学与学习三级文凭（Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning）、CACHE 二级教学助理资格证，以及圣三一GESE工作坊培训认证。

我相信，当孩子感到快乐、充满兴趣并积极参与学习时，他们的学习效果最佳。我致力于打造一个温馨、有趣且安全的教室，让孩子们敢于尝试——即使可能犯错也充满信心。

我喜欢运用故事、歌曲、游戏、肢体活动、戏剧、手工及动手实践活动，让学习变得生动有趣且富有意义。我也乐于鼓励孩子们表达、提问、合作、解决问题，并逐步变得更加独立。

最重要的是，我希望每个孩子都能感受到：自己的声音被重视，自己是我们教室大家庭中重要的一员。

教学之余，我喜欢旅行、探索新地方、阅读、创意创作，以及与动物相处。在中国不同城市生活和工作的经历，让我十分享受体验不同文化、结识新朋友、发现新地方的过程。

我非常期待认识每一个孩子，见证他们的成长与学习，并在今年与大家共同创造许多欢乐而难忘的时光。
