福州西湖国际学校（FLIS）于近日举办了年度运动会。每年此时，从幼儿园至高中，全校学子都被分入四大学院（Arc/Tesla/Hurston/Fibonacci），不同年龄的孩子聚在一起，为学院荣誉而战，因此，这也是FLIS全年最能体现学院精神的活动之一。

Fuzhou Lakeside International School (FLIS) recently held its annual Sports Day. Every year at this time, students from ECE to High School (including the Academy) are divided into four houses (Arc, Tesla, Hurston, and Fibonacci). Students of all ages come together to compete for their house’s honor, making this one of the events at FLIS that best embodies the house spirit.

每年运动会都将校园化作一片红、蓝、绿、紫——即四大学院代表色——混合的海洋。今年，FLIS以「Color Blast」为活动主题，希望身披各色战袍的学子都能在此次大会中全速前进，在竞技舞台上彰显特色，从而与各路好手碰撞出不一样的风采。

Every year, the Sports Day transforms the campus into a sea of red, blue, green, and purple—the representative colors of the four houses. This year, FLIS has chosen “Color Blast” as the theme for the event, hoping that students clad in their colorful uniforms will give it their all during the competition, showcase their unique strengths on the field, and create a truly memorable experience alongside top athletes from all over.

上周四的亲子趣味运动会可谓小朋友们的「厚积薄发」：今年以来，孩子们不仅在「全能体验日」感受了多种体育项目、举办了班级间的奥林匹克，还用照片与声音记录了一路走来的点点滴滴……现在，是他们大展身手的时候了！拔河、亲子接力、跑酷比赛不仅让学子在沉浸式游戏中锻炼肢体协调与反应能力，更令他们学会倾听、分享与互助。当然，最动人的，不只是抵达终点的那一刻，还有与父母牵手完成挑战的瞬间！希望每一个孩子都能在快乐运动中，收获勇气与自信，成为有温度的终身运动者。

Last Thursday’s Parent-Child Fun Sports Meet was truly a moment for the children to “put their accumulated efforts to good use”: Since the start of the year, ECE kids have not only experienced a variety of sports during “All-Around Experience Day” and held inter-class Olympic competitions, but they’ve also documented every step of their journey through photos and audio recordings… Now, it’s time for them to show what they’ve got! Tug-of-war, parent-child relays, and parkour competitions not only helped students develop physical coordination and reaction skills through immersive play, but also taught them to listen, share, and support one another. Of course, the most touching moments weren’t just when they cross the finish line, but when they completed the challenges hand-in-hand with their parents! We hope every child will gain courage and confidence through the joy of sports, growing into compassionate lifelong sports enthusiasts.

小学一年级至高中生运动会在本周三举行。结合传统田径项目（如拔河、赛跑、接力、篮球/手球/躲避球/排球等各种球类运动）与益智游戏（推小车/两人三足/运气球/丢沙包/翻翻卡），本次活动让我们看到了学子的坚韧意志，也让他们有机会在竞技中探索策略、突破自我；在协作中学会关爱、扛起责任。

The Sports Day for students from Grade one through High School and Academy held on this Wednesday. Combining traditional track and field events with brain-teasing games, this event showcased the students’ resilience and gave them the opportunity to explore strategies and push their limits through competition, while learning to care for others and take on responsibilities through teamwork.
