当天纳新的每一个学生社团均经过MYP两位主管审核,富有教育意义、充满趣味、有益身心健康是其中几项审核标准,而通过审核的学生社团也配备了指导老师,在关键时刻为学子保驾护航或提供专业建议。作为IB MYP学习者,运作社团是IB教育理念生动实践的体现,试想,要走到社团招新这一步,一位主创首先需要对某个领域产生深度好奇,并主动寻求拓展、分享这份知识/趣味。产生创办社团的念头后,此人要有勇气发起并领导一个新项目,面对此后种种不确定性,还要发挥沟通技能,向潜在成员宣传自己的社团,并在未来清晰地传授知识、分享乐趣,协调不同成员的想法、组织具有吸引力的活动等等……学子不仅是被动的学习者,更是积极的知识运用者与社区建设者,这一过程既体现了诸如积极探究、善于交流、勇于尝试等等IB学习者特质,更对包括学子的社交、沟通、自我管理在内多项ATL技能提出了挑战。
Each student club underwent review by two MYP directors. Whether it is educational, interesting, and safe is among the key criteria. Approved clubs were assigned faculty advisors to provide guidance and professional support. As IB MYP learners, running clubs embody the IB educational philosophy in action. Consider this: a club founder must first develop deep curiosity in a specific field and actively seek to expand and share that knowledge or interest. Once the idea to start a club emerges, it takes courage for one to initiate and lead a new project, facing all the uncertainties and series of tasks that follow - promoting the club to potential members during recruitment, clearly imparting knowledge and sharing enjoyment after establishment, coordinating diverse member perspectives, organizing engaging activities, and so on... Students are not merely passive learners but active knowledge practitioners and community builders. This process embodies IB learner attributes such as Inquirers, Communicators, and Risk-Takers, while simultaneously challenging multiple ATL skills including Social skills, Communication skills, and Self-management skills.
