FLIS Student Council 

Fuzhou Lakeside International School Student Council is a stable official body of student government. The Student Council represents students’ needs within the structure of FLIS Faculty. Members help share their peers’ ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and school administration. They aim to improve the students’ lives and hope that their endeavors and progress will also benefit future students.

The FLIS Student Council is active in several fields, such as project running, school events and other duties as needed. During the 2015-2016 school year, they helped out with the Cafeteria Lunch Duty, Halloween party, Christmas Party, Parents Conference and the Earth Day event leading environmentally friendly projects (fund-raising from student donated art work made of recycled trash )...

 

福州西湖国际学校学生会，是一个正式、稳定、代表学生的团体，旨在培养具有团队协作精神、认真负责、诚信友爱的社会公民。学生会给学生们提供学习民主制度与锻炼领导力的机会——他们在竞选过程中提高诸生演说的能力；在活动参与中培养社会服务精神以及与之相辅相成的社会成就感；在项目开展中拓展课堂外的技能……这些特质都将帮助他们成为有影响力的世界公民和未来领导。作为学生会成员，他们帮助采集、反馈、分享和传达学生群体的意见想法、兴趣所在和关心之事；致力于改善学生的校园生活，也希望通过他们的努力，使逐步建立起来的体系能帮助到今后的学生。

 

在校园生活的诸多领域中都可以看到学生会成员们活动的身影。在2015~2016学年，他们是西湖校园中一道靓丽的风景，在餐厅为低年级孩子指导就餐、在万圣节活动及圣诞晚会中担任志愿者、在家长会时指引家长……他们还自己组织策划活动：在地球日的“变废为宝”活动中，将一贯坚持的环保精神传递给了更多的孩子和家长！
