“正月十五元夕节，乃上元天官赐福之辰。”值此佳节，FLIS中文部举办了热热闹闹的“新春庙会”活动。师生们穿着中华传统服饰，在猜灯谜、写书法、剪纸、踢毽子等一系列中国文化活动中，感受别样的传统“年味”。
The Lantern Festival, or Spring Lantern Festival, is a Chinese festival celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month in the lunar Chinese calendar. On this day, the Fuzhou Lakeside International School Mandarin Department held a lively ‘Spring Temple Fair.’ Teachers and students, dressed in traditional Chinese clothing, took part in a series of Chinese cultural activities, such as solving riddles on lanterns, writing brush calligraphy, paper cutting, and kicking shuttlecocks.

各班级还举行了中国文化知识大赛，看看谁是班上的“小中国通”。通过知识问答，孩子们既回顾了所学，又拓宽了对中国传统文化的了解。
Each class also held a Chinese cultural knowledge contest to see who was the ‘Little China Hands’ in the class. Through the knowledge quiz, children not only reviewed what they have learned, but also broadened their understanding of traditional Chinese culture.

FLIS新春摄影、绘画大赛也收到了不少优秀的作品。在大家的镜头中、画笔下呈现出多样的“中国新年”。一字见心，来看看FLIS第二届中文硬笔书法比赛的参赛作品。
The FLIS Spring Photograph and Painting Competition also received many excellent submissions. Through the lens of students’ work, the brush presents a variety of ‘Chinese New Year’ themes. Let's have a look at the entries in the 2nd FLIS Chinese Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition.

当天，大家也都穿着带有中式元素或中国传统喜庆颜色的服装，参加新春服饰大赛。你最中意谁的服装？
To celebrate the holiday students also wore clothing with Chinese styles or traditional festive colors, qualifying them for the Spring Festival Custom Competition. Whose traditional Chinese clothes do you like best?

新春庙会活动在大家的欢声笑语中结束了，但是中华传统文化的体验和学习还在继续。开学快乐，愿大家百尺竿头更进一步！
